Double Happiness

This painting has been a work in progress since 2019 because it  kept speaking to me. It encompasses many elements of my story represented in this still life of our home; from my early years through my current life.  The heirlooms that we treasure are always there, reminding us from whence we came.  This chair and the rug have been in my husband's family for a very very long time. I've always been in love with this Mandarin chair & it is a symbol of family history.  The Chinese Double Happiness jars symbolize happiness.
